Development with SUSE instead of Ubuntu?

[ Edited ]

I'm interested in doing some BB10 Native development using the GNU/Linux distro SUSE as the host system, not Ubuntu.  I've seen some posting of people using SUSE and RedHat.  Any tips about the install you can give me?  Do I need to locate of .deb to .rpm package converter?  Any tips regarding the simulator?  I'm assuming that this portion is more distro agnostic?

Thanks for any insights!

I guess I should have downloaded the most recent NDK first.  It installed fine on SUSE.  Kudos to BlackBerry for making it so simple!

Now to take a look around...
