@pyth If you look slightly earlier in the thread you'll see that ekke's solution was one of the ones I was suggesting and indeed provided code for.

I offered a 9-slice as the first solution as IMHO it allows you to differentiate your design, providing something a little different.


The problem with using a container is it doesn't look as elegant being just a rectangular block.

 

Take this as an example, although not a divider, doing the border as a coloured container wouldn't look half as good and as a divider gets thicker adding rounded ends or mid line curves makes for a nicer design IMHO...
