Does invokation framework work with Maps?

[ Edited ]

Hello,

I would like to use the invokation framework to open the Maps core application, in order to show some POIs. I know it was possible in BB7, as it's explained here:

http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800332/800703/How_To_...

Do you know if it's supported by the BB10 Maps application at this moment?

Thanks,

Have you looked at the new "mapview" sample in the Cascades sample apps set? It uses the new MapView component: https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/reference/bb__cascades__maps__mapview.html

Thanks a lot! I didn't read about this component before, but it seems it is exactly what I need.

Then you'll be very interested in watching http://hosting.desire2learncapture.com/RIM/1/watch/61.aspx starting around the 20:00 mark.  Note that there should be code and/or a PDF posted soon, but for now the audio and slides are up there and should give you a good intro.

Thanks for the link. It will definitely help me! I'll be checking the site just in case they post the code soon!

Re: Does invokation framework work with Maps?

The PDFs appear to be posted now (for most or all sessions) and I heard the code samples should be making it into github after review (presumably soon). Possibly https://github.com/blackberry/Cascades-Community-Samples but I'm not certain about that yet.
