Error attempting to debug application on device

My application appears to build properly and will run on the device. I can build the device-debug configuration, but when I try to debug the application I see:

- The application starts on the Z10,

- After a second or two, I see the following dialog box in the IDE, and the application exits:

Error in final launch sequence
Failed to execute MI command:
-break-insert -t -f main
Error message from debugger back end:
Cannot access memory at address 0x3760
Cannot access memory at address 0x3760

Device and IDE versions are synched at 10.1.0.4633, although I've tried a couple different versions on the phone to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks.

Re: Error attempting to debug application on device

Is that anything to do with your fire wall settings?

Re: Error attempting to debug application on device

No, I've tried debugging the application with my windows firewall both enabled and completely disabled  with no effect.

Re: Error attempting to debug application on device

Have you tried to cleanip and rebuild the project? If you have any breakpoints, remove them before.

Re: Error attempting to debug application on device

are you using the dev alpha device or the real device?

Re: Error attempting to debug application on device

That's a good question. Our office got the device very early on... How would I tell (I'm out of the office for the next few days and can't check with the person who procured it) There's nothing obviously identifying the device as such in the settings.

Re: Error attempting to debug application on device

I was seeing these errors while trying to debug as well. Here's some steps to help resolve this and get the debugger connected:

* Make sure you are connected to your device target via a USB cable/connection

* In the BlackBerry Target Properties in Momentics make sure the "Hostname or IP" matches the Development IP Address under the Development Mode Settings page on the device itself. This is something like 169.254.0.x by default.

Once your device target IP in Momentics matches the configured Development IP on the device itself, the debugger should now be able to connect.

I was finding that when I used the device "Auto Discover" feature in Momentics, it was actually connecting to my device via the WiFi IP address and not the USB IP address. Apparently the debugger is unable to connect properly via WiFi. Using the direct-USB IP Address forces momentics to connect over the hard-wired USB ethernet interface.

Hope this helps.
