Getting the profiler to work?

Since my app seems a tad heavy on processing I was trying to figure out how to get the profiler working.

I've switched to the QNX profiler view, and started using the "Profiler <AppName>" but the profile windows comes up with nothing.

Not a genius when it comes to profiling so I'm probably missing something obvious.

Thanks

Re: Getting the profiler to work?

afaik it doesnot work well yet with managed apps (cascades apps)...

you can use the 'QNX System Information' perspective for some decent memory profiling.

if you still want to dig into profiling, in your Debug/Run configuration, go to the 'Tools' tab. Make sure to add the 'Application Profiler, and 'Memory Analysis' tool as needed.

I did manage to get these to 'work' but the application took 15mins to start up....afterwards, took another 5 mins just to display a page. i gave up at that point Smiley Sad

Re: Getting the profiler to work?

Wifi or usb. I noticed usb is quite faster even just debugging.

But yea in my case a lot of it was better using sqlite. indexes and such. still have plenty to tweak though...
