Re: Hide Scrollbar in ScrollView

You'd expect there to be a property like https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/reference/bb__cascades__listview.html#scrollindicatormode in the ListView, but it appears they left that out of Beta 3 so for now I believe there's no way to do that. A new update is expected by end of November so with any luck we'll see it then.

If you really want to maximize the chances this is dealt with, create a Feature Request for it in the Jira issue tracker. See link to Developer Issue Tracker at the bottom of http://developer.blackberry.com

Re: Hide Scrollbar in ScrollView

Hi ,

Thanks for your question!

There is currently no way to remove the scroll indictors in a scrollview. However, here are two workaround options you can try:

  1. You could skip the scrollView and write the touch and scroll handling yourself.
  2. Or make the scrollview larger than the screen so the scrollbars gets positioned outside the screen, i.e. something like:

Page {

Container {

    layout: AbsoluteLayout {

    ScrollView {

        scrollViewProperties.scrollMode: ScrollMode.Both

        layoutProperties: AbsoluteLayoutProperties {

            positionY: -20

            positionX: 20

        translationX: -20

        preferredWidth: 768 + 20

        preferredHeight: 1280 + 20

        ImageView {

            imageSource: "asset:///images/myimage.png"

            preferredHeight: 5000

            preferredWidth: 5000
