Hide cursor in TextArea

Hi,

we have a TextArea in QML. If you press on the text area a cursor appear. If you tap twice a circle appears which allows you to move the cursor. What needs to be done to make that the text area does not respond to touch events and does not show a cursor or starts showing a large circle when tapping twice?

Best regards,

René

Re: Hide cursor in TextArea

If you would like it to not be editable, then set it's editable property to false.

Re: Hide cursor in TextArea

I have editable on false. But this still allows you to tap on the text area and then a cursor is shown. I would like to disable the cursor completely.

Re: Hide cursor in TextArea

So, what is the point of using a text area? Why not use a label instead?
