I want to make an application which can be used anywhere like we were able to do using Applicationmenuitem in earlier version of BB. Using applicationmenuitem,we were able to call that application's functions. I want to do somewhat like that, how is it possible in cascades?

For invocation check this -
Core Application Invocation -
You can also have menus for these -
EDIT :: Invocation os Native SMS App -

Thanks for the reply. I know about the invocation but I don't want to invoke native apps from my app but want to invoke my app from native app.

The invocation framework is the way to do this today. Your application can register to handle a certain type of file (mime type or extension) and then can be an option to the user when they try to open that type of content from another application.
There is no way to inject specific menu items like you could with ApplicationMenuItem.
