How to make the device screen glow on an incoming notification?

hi

When the device is in a locked state, and application receives a notification, i need to make the screen glow indicating that some notification has come.

How do i achive this?

I tried using the Window API , setScreemIdleMode(ScreenIdleMode::KeepAwake);

But with this API, it is observed that it works fine only first time after any user activity on the device. That is only first time screen glows on incoming notification. second time only niotification sound is played but screen does not glow if the device is not unlocked after the first notification.

Thnaks,

Uma

I haven't seen anything like this, handling the notifications seems like a part of the OS rather than the app. So my guess would be: not possible.

Re: How to make the device screen glow on an incoming notification?

I am sorry for the miss communication. By notification i meant to say any incoming event that is handled in my application.

This application is an chat application and the issue is I need to show the device screen glowing when the device is locked and an incoming chat event is received by the application.

If the device is locked your app can't be seen.  Only the lock screen is available.

You don't want the screen to glow on a notification, you want the LED to flash.
