Invoke action when user taps hub notification

I'd like my app to be invoked directly when a user taps a hub notification (like with BBM messages).

Is this possible, or is BBM a special case?  Right now I have it so there is an "open" button on the hub notification, but that's suboptimal.

No, this isn't supported today.

Re: Invoke action when user taps hub notification

Hello,

I'm also interesting in the feature to "invoke app by press on Hub notification item", instead of tap "Open" from notification details screen. Some third-party apps already using this ability (e.g. Whatsapp).

How to handle this currently?

Re: Invoke action when user taps hub notification

You need to have Hub Integration permission for this, check this doc and scroll to the middle of the page, there's information about how to request this permission.

https://developer.blackberry.com/native/documentation/dev/tools/app_permissions.html

I never created an hub integrated app before, but reading one of @dkonigs blog post, it seems that you have to be extra paranoid about error handling.
