Invoking an application from within an email message.

Dears,

Can an application be invoked from an email?

For example, if the email is composed as an HTML, and an html button is embedded within the body of the email message, can the html click event of the button be used to invoke an application on BB10? If so, kindly how. And if not, how can we possibly invoke an application from within an email message (from within the body of the message).

The reason for this question is that we've tried to overload the email menu of the BB10 to invoke an application, it turned out that BB10 does not support overloading the messaging menu (unless a new application is written which we are trying to avoid a re-write for a whole new messaging client).

Thank You,

no, this is not (yet?) possible, no custom url scheme support.
you could open it from an attachment using invocation.

Thank you Simon,

We had this option in hand, but we wanted to check for alternatives. I guess we have to stick with this, for now.
