Live GridListLayout webView images

Need to know if in GridListLayout i can make a live image looking at a webpage - (similar to windows 8)

example an iamge in my app playing video in one box and say blackberry support community in another box and so on. some might be active other not just based on the weblink connected to.

so no pictures just a curent snapshot of the website

Hi quincar,

you can define a WebView in your ListItemComponent, such as below, but you may need to deal with the WebView signals.

ListItemComponent {
    type: "item"
    WebView {
        url: "http://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/sampleapps"
        onNavigationRequested: {
            console.debug ("NavigationRequested: " + request.url + " navigationType=" + request.navigationType)
        }
    }
}

Hope this helps.

Exactly to do this that you mentioned, see if its updated, loaded successfuly, etc.

Like i posted on the other thread, you may take a look into the cascadescookbookqml sample app, on WebView.qml, available under https://github.com/blackberry/Cascades-Samples/tree/master/cascadescookbookqml it is handling some signals and properties.
