Map integration

Hi,

I need to load the google map in an app when I press a button. As the first step, I just loaded the google map url like this.

 Container {
        WebView {

url: "http://maps.google.com";
        }

    }

 Now the map is loaded. but now I need the marker here. My requiremnt is like the marker shud be fixed in the center and the map shud b able to be moved. When the required place is reached, a sbmit button shud retrieve that location to a text field.  ny examples available?? or somone could help? I have been trying for three days now and no luck yet..

thanks,,,

Re: Map integration

if you use google in a web view you would have to use googles API as well.
to get a map with API you would have to use blackberry maps.

what do you mean by "same things" - you can do a lot with GoogleMaps and also a lot with BlackBerry Maps.

Take a llok at the samples and the documentation.

I'm also just working on more info preparing my Session JAM69 (together with Shadid Haque) about BlackBerry Maps in cascades.

One hint: BlackBerry Maps and also Cascades MapView is working much smoother on Devices with OS 10.1 - even if you're deploying 10.0 apps
