Native and Cascades boards and TKBs have been merged under Native

[ Edited ]

Please note that as of August 14th, all Cascades and Native board threads and TKBs can now be found merged here under Native Development. The BlackBerry Developer microsites have also been merged.

Threads have been sorted chronologically, so will show up approximately in the list order where they were before the merge. Search will work the same as it did before and for either or both topics.

Good decision. Just a small suggestion:

Would be great to have Tags for the Topics to see if a thread is cascades (QML and JavaScript) or C++ related. Please Tag the Topics accordingly from where they got imported.

The search results are currently very unclear and unsorted. It would make sense to see here about which developing language the topic is about.

It would have been great, but would also have had to have been handled manually, and with the better part of 3K threads, wasn't a viable option.

Definitely recommend folks tagging their posts from here on in to help with sorting/searching, and if we ever need to do a big move in the future I'm going to try and see if there's any way we can customize something with the platform to make it happen.

Well this is useless for someone wanting to develope with Cascades. Now it is near impossible to search for casades related information without getting pages and pages of native C++ topics.

How is anyone supposed to search for Cascades related topics?

Manually? You have to be kidding me. This would have been trivial if someone had though of it before doing the merge. Just tag EVERY post in the old Cascades board with "Cascades", THEN do the merge. Voila, only the posts from the old Cascades board have the tag. I can see how it could be difficult AFTER the merge though.

Somebody wasn't thinking ahead.

Now you need to fix the menu option under Developer Support Forums.  It only goes to the closed forum.

We'll fix that up.  Thanks for pointing it out.
