Persistent store

Hi,

I'm trying to make some values persistent across device reboot (up to 50 character strings). With BB Java dev, we have the persistent store.
Do you know what is the alternatives in Cascades ?
Maybe QSettings or SqlDataAccess ? I'm not sure which one of them is the most appropriate.

Could you help please ?

Re: Persistent store

Have you tried the "Quotes" example in the sample apps?

Re: Persistent store

Hi Laurent,

I prefer to use QSettings its fast and efficient whereas I found sqlite to be slow, particularly at start up when used with qml.

If you want to use QSettings from qml, Lukas Geyer wrote a nice wrapper that works great, http://qt-project.org/forums/viewthread/11696

Cheers,

Jon

Re: Persistent store

Thanks guys, I'll take a look at the Quotes examples.
Is Qsettings really appropriate if I don't know how many values I want to store ? It sounds like an option to store a set of parameters...
I need to store a list of values and get values, get size, add, remove...
