I've noticed that in widgets that have keyboard input (QPlainTextEdit for example but basically all QWidget's descendants) you can enter symbols only if "Show predictions and suggestions" are ON and only if there is any prediction/suggestion.
Is anybody seeing this problem?
There wasn't a problem like this in OS 1.0.

I've just modified the Calculator app to allow entering text in the computing box by making the underlying QLineEdit editable. After that I've replaced the QLineEdit with a QPlainTextEdit (replaced text() with toPlainText() and setText() to setPlainText()). In both cases I was able to enter text (letters, digits, symbols) with "Show predictions and suggestions" set to OFF, using the soft keyboard as well as the hard one. I am using the simulator, not a device.

thanks for testing!!!
When you hit Enter does your cursor go to new line?
Sorry I was not clear I was having problem with <Enter> it just did not go to new line.
I've found that it was caused by setCentralWidget() function. When I commented it out everything started to work properly.
Do you use setCentralWidget() in your app?
