Qt/Playback PCM audio buffer (Playbook)

[ Edited ]

Hi,

My Qt app generates PCM sound data which I want to play back (on a Playbook). I found an example for playing back a wav file for OS 10 (https://github.com/blackberry/NDK-Samples/blob/master/PlayWav/main.c ) using "snd_pcm_plugin_write" among of other functions. Are these functions also working properly with the Playbook OS 2.1?

Besides, all the sound event handling in this example seem quite complex - is there something easier to use to just playback PCM buffers?

Regards,

Developer

OpenAL is quite easy to use if you have a simple buffer to play

Is OpenAL also working with the Playbook (2.1)? I can find this library only included with the OS 10 kit.

libalut.so seems to be in the playbook ndk and if not you should be able to build it yourself, http://blackberry.github.io/ndk/components.html
