Question on using LGPL library

I am wondering if anyone knows the implications of using an LGPLed library without a static-linking exception clause.  If my app uses such a library and is submitted to AppWorld, does my app need to be open-sourced?  How does RIM get around the LGPLed Qt library?  Does it have the static-linking exception?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Re: Question on using LGPL library

Thank you Peter for the link.  It is strange how doing a search on the board for "LGPL" didn't return that thread for me.  Anyway, it doesn't look like there is an answer yet?
