Questions on the menu

[ Edited ]

Hello everyone (:

I have worked like this application:

https://developer.blackberry.com/native/documentation/cascades/ui/navigation/menus.html

But there are some problems.

menu

^^^

I know I work this way.

But how do I work like this page:

^^^^

Note: In the page about when work swipe down from the top nothing shows (or can not view the menu).
I want to like this.

Regards

Saad

Welcome to the forums.

Is your problem with getting the swipe down menu or with getting an 'about' page to display?

It's hard to gather from your OP.

Note when inserting a screenshot picture, choose half size. Smiley Happy

Re: Questions on the menu

the recommended solution is to use a sheet to show things outside the regular workflow (like settings, about page and everything else from the application menu).

if you really want to use a page (for whatever reason) you can utilize the onTopChanged slot of the NavigationPane, check for the objectName of the page and set Application.menuEnabled = false or true

Simon I think his question is more fundamental than that, reading it a second time he might be saying that when he gets to the second page (the about page) he can no longer get the top menu.

I'll wait for a better explanation of the problem.

Re: Questions on the menu

Sorry for the lack of my explanation of the question.

Image has been scaled.

I mean, I want to put a special page about the application, I know how to put the menu but when you click on them do not work.

I also want when you create the page can not be displayed menu, only the back button.

Conclusion:

When you work swipe down from the top the show (about) when you press them to open another page like the second picture, and then work swipe down from the top do not want to show anything like when you open the settings in the BlackBerry 10 and swipe down from the top, nothing happens.

I hope I have explained the question.

Okay, well the menu can be enabled or disabled as you require as Simon said above;

   Application.menuEnabled = false;.

For the page you can either use a Sheet...

http://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/cascades/bb__cascades__sheet.html

or if you want to keep the back button then you can add it to your navigationPane (if you have one?)...

Re: Questions on the menu

If you are already using one of these techniques then post your code and we'll have a look at why it's not showing up.

Re: Questions on the menu

I do not mean that.

I will explain it better pictures.

Example: When you open system settings in BlackBerry 10 and work swipe down from the top, nothing happens.

I just want to cancel the menu on the page.

Re: Questions on the menu

I'm sorry we haven't quite got what your problem is yet, let me have another go.

Are you just keeping the same page when the BBSJdev button is clicked, so what you would like to happen is just  close the menu?

Re: Questions on the menu

just like Simon and BBSJDev said:

NavigationPane {
    id: navigationPane

    onCreationCompleted: {
        Application.menuEnabled = false;
    }

    ///...your other stuff
}

If you want a menu on your first page, but your second should not show a menu, create a Sheet (just like Simon said)
