Removing unused assets

Perhaps I am overlooking a simple way to do this.

Is there an automatic or any other way to remove all unused assets from project at once? Talking about a QML Cascades app and Momentics 2.1.

Re: Removing unused assets

You could use lint I believe to identify unused resources but short of writing your own script you can't remove them automatically.

There are filter options that allow you not to include certain filenames/types but that's not really what you are looking for.

Re: Removing unused assets

Could you please elaborate on how to use lint to find all unused resources?

That's a good start. Smiley Happy

Re: Removing unused assets

Still looking for a way to remove orphaned assets.

I might even consider writing a Qt desktop app for this purpose.

Re: Removing unused assets

Well as I see it there are 2 solutions to this problem.

One would be writing an Eclipse plugin.

Other to write a Qt app. So I did that yesterday.

It works on Windows 7. It should really be carefully tested and adapted to Mac OSX and Linux.

I will probably open source it once I manage to build it statically.

It's a crude experiment that worked but needs more polishing and failsafes.

I will provide links here once I think it's mature enough for wide population usage.

Don't want to be responsible for assets loss of other developers.
