Rooting BB10 device

Hi everyone,


Just curious to know if we can root BB10 device??

If yes What is the effect of rooting the device? can we check it programmatically??

Rooting is an Android thing but with the new update to BB10 you can install Nova luncher and basically use your phone like an Android device. Root apps still wont work though.
