[SMS] Which method to get incoming sms sender number?

As above. I am using the PIM Messages API, i have retrieved the incoming sms successfully. How to I grab the sender number? Do i use

 

MessageContact::npi()

 Or

MessageContact::displayableName()

 Or

MessageContact::name()

None of these. npi btw is a single digit indicator of the set of types of numbers that an address is drawn from so not of interest to you here.

 

Take a look at my SmsMessageService application which does what you want. This line in particular shows you how to get the sender number:
