Search Local WiFi Network

Hey,

I know its possible but I just don't know how to do it.

What I want is to search and possibly somehow connect to devices (computers/printers etc) on my local network.

Re: Search Local WiFi Network

If you're looking for device discovery type functionality then UPnP is the most common mechanism to achieve this ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Plug_and_Play ).

There is no api on BlackBerry 10 to act as a UPnP client but you might consider porting http://pupnp.sourceforge.net/ which you could then use from an application.

Re: Search Local WiFi Network

I'm quite a new developer, so please do explain to me how to port that library.

Also, how would I call the functions from a said external library from my application.

Thanks
