Socket recv problem

Ive started working on some socket stuff and ran into a problem with the recv function.

Following the documentation I can set 3 flags. OOB only gives you header information, PEEK doesnt clear the stream. And WAIT_ALL (in my case) waits untill it has reached the buffer size.

Since I dont know the size of the buffer I give it for example a size of 250 and expect it to stop reading when it hits a EOT, LF or NL. This however wont work and will keep me waiting untill it reaches the 250 characters.

Is there a way to read untill you reach an escape character or am I missing something obvious?

Re: Socket recv problem

Don't specify any of this flags and use loop with select() to read as many bytes as you want.
