SyncCondvarWait_r() problem when trying HTTP Connection Tutorial

Hi,

I'm currently learning how to handle HTTP connection on BB10. After Beta2 I find HTTP Connection Tutorial from developer.blackberry.com here

Successfully built the project, but when I debug it on simulator (10.0.0.6 version, oh I'm using Mac OS X Lion if it matters), I get error message before the application succesfully ran: No source available for "SyncCondvarWait_r() at 0xb0bf9c76". After that the application won't start.

Does anybody know what the problem is and how can I fix the problem?

Thanks for your help

Re: SyncCondvarWait_r() problem when trying HTTP Connection Tutorial

Hi,

I have been unable to reproduce your problem.  I've attached the project I have created after following the tutorial.  Please try it out and let me know if it works better than yours.

Regards,

Daniel

p.s. I do get some errors when running the app, but nothing like what you mentioned.

Re: SyncCondvarWait_r() problem when trying HTTP Connection Tutorial

Hi Daniel,

thanks for your reply. I've tried your project and I think I know the problem. if I change the build configurations to "4 simulator-debug", the same error message still exists: No source available for "SyncCondvarWait_r() at 0xb0e9ec76".  but after I set to "1 default", it runs well.

Thanks for your help! Smiley Happy

Re: SyncCondvarWait_r() problem when trying HTTP Connection Tutorial

anyway, I have one more problem, when I try to debug it on simulator, it says "

Unable to connect to selected target: Connection failed: connect timed out"

does it mean the connection to simulator fails, or the simulator can't connect to the internet? I've run the simulator on vmware by the way, and it's detected via auto discover from momentics.

thanks

Re: SyncCondvarWait_r() problem when trying HTTP Connection Tutorial

I am unable to reproduce the issue you mention with the codebase I've shared with you.  When I launch with the debugger I hit 2 automatic breakpoints, the first in main() and the second in SyncCondvarWait_r() (no source available).  After resuming the program both times the application loads up correctly and I see no mention of connection failures.

Have you cleaned and rebuilt the project properly before attempting to debug?

Re: SyncCondvarWait_r() problem when trying HTTP Connection Tutorial

HI!

I have the same problem when I try to debug my application on a device. But if I start the application in a normal mode (without debug) it works fine. It is look like that the crash is happen during constructing instance of class Application.
This issue is appeared after I moved on Native SDK 10.0.6. On 10.0.4 all works fine.
The danielrr5's app is also crashed.

Does anybody know what the problem is and how can it be fixed?
Thanks for your help

How do I stop it from stopping at "SyncCondvarWait_r() no source available"? its kind of annoying..
