TitleBar title left padding

Does anybody have any idea how to add more space between left border of the TitleBar and text? It does not look nice for me.

I also suspect it is an issue in current SDK and may be fixed in next release so I don't want to do some hacks like adding nobreaking space before tittle.

Thanks

Tom

Re: TitleBar title left padding

I get the same, I agree it looks poor, and I believe we have no alternatives except making a custom title bar or doing the hack you suggest.

The next release isn't far off, so I suggest just making a note of this for now, and revisiting the issue once the next beta is out. I won't be surprised to see many small tweaks to positioning and style issues, requiring us to review all parts of our apps in any case.

would be nice to add icon to title too or even a system close or minimize/close icon.

Re: TitleBar title left padding

I tell you solution (not perfect, but work):

add spaces using alt codes in text area using alt+0160 (enter numbers at number keyboard at right of your desktop keyboard)

Looks:

text: " My title"

Re: TitleBar title left padding

As I said above: I want to avoid such a hacking. I believe that this is just temporary issue and will be solved in next SDK release.

I hoped that somebody from BB will either confirm that it is an issue (and will be fixed) or suggest how to use it properly.

Re: TitleBar title left padding

In any case, using Unicode escape sequences would probably be better than entering special characters using one's keyboard, if it comes to that.

Entering " " should be equivalent to one "magic" non-breaking space entered with alt+0160, but it's clearer what it is. You'd also have the option of fine-tuning with " " (1/3 em), " " (1/4 em) or " " (1/6 em) or others.
