Unable to connect to the Playbook

I'm having difficulty connecting to the playbook for debugging.

 

I'm getting the following message:

 

"Unable to connect to selected target: Connection failed: connect timed out"

 

I have been able to connect and run in the past.

Compiling works fine.

I can ping the playbook using the debug ip address.

I'm using the USB.

BB DM connects fine.

I'm using the IDE SDK 2.0.0.

I haven't been able to connect since installing the SDK for BB10 on another drive.

I've tried closing the IDE and reopening. 

When I try to connect it asks for the password , but then fails.

 

 

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Could the SDK for BB10 have changed any settings or paths that would effect this problem?

Other than reinstalling, is there a way to get back to square one with the SDK?

Hi there,

 

First, can you confirm that your Playbook is in development mode?

 

I have seen this issue in the past - try the following:

1) disconnect your device and delete it from momentics under project explorer

2) make sure dev mode is on, then connect the device via USB (enter the proper password in the popup) then in Momentics, find and add your device

3) right-click on it in the project explorer and connect to it;

Thanks Martin.

 

Actually, after trying all sorts of things I was able to get things going again.  I did have it in development mode when I was having the problems though.  That I'm sure of.

 

Perhaps I managed to do the sequence you suggested, I just don't know at this point.  I'm sure you know how that goes.

 

If I run into the problem again, I'll come back to this post and try your suggestion.
