Will the Java applications of BB 7 and below run on BB 10 ?
I have developed applications for BB 7 and below for some time. Now that everything has changed with BB 10, I am little confused about how to start with BB 10 development. I don't understand the various ways of doing the BB 10 programming. Native SDK and Cascade development. It is confusing me.Can somebody guide me how to start ? Please explain in detail about the various development options available and their benefits. Which one should I opt for making BB 10 native apps and BB 10 hybrid apps ?

No, BlackBerry Java apps will not run on BB10 devices.
A good starting point for platform selection is this site.

Thanks for reply oliver_kranz
I had already read the developer link provided by you. But I am still confused which platform options to opt for. Can you please give me some explanation from your side for each platform in a simple language and help me to choose one for native and hybrid apps ?
