Did anyone noticed that Z10 camera doesn't record image orienatation properly? The only value stored in EXIF is Top-Left for any smartphone orientation. Is there any way to recover the lost info or report a bug?

@kylefowler, oh, you're right. Native camera actually rotates the final image, except the case when photo was taken in upside down position. Then it rotates the image in a wrong way. I wonder if it's a bug (camera takes a photo in app fixed in portrait position) or design decision?

I have this problem too. All works on the dev unit and then on the z10 the pictures are all in landscape mode.
This really annoying. Now i have to rotate it and change it.
why is it different on the dev than the z10?

seems that Dev Alpha devices have higher firmware version than Z10. I installed leaked "full" version of BB10 on Dev Alpha B and I have to admit that it really doesn't rotate images taken from whithin app fixed in portrait mode My worries now is that, I've found a workaround, but it will work only if the bug stays Once the Z10 bug fixed my workaround will become a bug itself.

It seems that the auto-rotating feature has been forgotten in current version of Z10. I ran into this post that confirm the issue:
My workaround for now is to give user a button in app UI and let them rotate it manually.

Whether the camera rotates the image for you or just tags it in the EXIF data is dependant on the hardware. There is a known issue where the ImageView control in Cascades doesn't handle the EXIF rotation data, however.
