back into life after BlackBerry Live

hi all there,

got some requests why I'm not so 'visible' in the forums last weeks -

don't panic_ I'm still there ;-)

writing this post because I got some private posts in my Forums InBox.

I don't answer those posts if we don't have a customer-relationship

I always like to help others in my spare time, but this should always be done public:

please open a Thread here and give me a Tweet @ekkescorner - then if having some time - I'll try to answer or others will do

last weeks were heavy weeks:

  • attended BBLive / BBJam and had two sessions to present (Invocation Framework as heart of your business apps and Maps in your Apps)
  • coming back wrote some articles (german and english and here)
  • created first BBM Channels
  • also doing some beta-testing on upcoming awesome developer tools
  • added support for EclipseCon France to my Conference2Go app (doing conference apps for free to open source communities)
  • working on customer project (peer-to-peer-push, custom maps, ...)
  • preparing a full-week Cascades Workshop I will present from 10th June
  • preparing sessions at MobileDeveloperConference end of June
  • preparing session at EclipseDay Beijing about Momentics / Cascades

so from mid of june I'll have some more time to answer questions here

for all of you not at BBLive / BBJam: this was the most energizing conferences ever for me.

you could feel the new spirit of BlackBerry: no questions if BB will survive, but proud announcements of unique stuff like BBM for all, secure workspace for iOS and Android and cool new features for 10.2 - all of this will help BB to get momentum and will help BB10 developers. (Also good to see that now BlackBerry10.2 will be in Cars instead of HTML5-only before - good news for native devs like you and me)

most of you are using Momentics as your IDE - and if coming from Eclipse as Java IDE this was a step back. Now be aware: the upcoming new Moments IDE will push Momentics on top of all Eclipse IDEs.

If not already done: please take a look at Session JAM22 from BBLive: the presenters from QNX and Cascades got standing ovations - this is so cool and the Beta will start early in June: you all should then use this Beta and report back feedback.

now the vision of BlackBerry10 as a platform becomes more and more visible: 2013 will be a great year.

don't want to spam you with this post - only wanted to give some info for all not attending BBLive / BBJam in Orlando.
