development mode

When setting simulator in development mode a screen showing an IP address where the two first two tokens are fixed to 169.254 and there are som choices for the next two tokens. This IP address does not seem to have any relation to the IP address of the device. Its IP address is 192.168.56.129. And no relation to my computer IP which is 192.168.10.54

What is it used for? What should I set it to?

Re: development mode

The 169.254 is for the USB interface, but you can set either one as the debugging ip in the device properties. I have both set in mine and just add a USB and WiFi suffix to the name so I know which interface to connect on. Its useful for when you don't have a wifi network to connect to.
