development tools on Ubuntu

How well do the BB10 native/cascades development tools and simulator work on Ubuntu?

Re: development tools on Ubuntu

I use Ubuntu 12.10 for BB 10 development.  Here is what I use:

qnx momentics ide

* kde python pretty printers for discovering Qt containers content

* Golden native SDK

* BB Z10 (not emulator)

Comparing to win/mac os following features are mising/buggy:

* qml designer does not work

* emulator works, however it is very slow and buggy. so i would not consider it for development

Deploying/debugging on real device is pretty quick if you use usb connection, so i don't see a need for emulator.

qml designer is a nice feature which is missing in ubuntu, but for me it is not really critical as i can quickly deploy to device.

In general i'm OK with ubuntu support.

Hope this helps
