how to invoke device application without mime type

I need to cacth the webview's navigation request and launch device applications for things like playing video, making phone call, open webbrowser and etc. But, the InvokeRequest needs a mimetype. But, I don't always known the mimetype. Because things like video links are from a client's server and it may be a video of any format. So, is it ok to invoke any url without mimetype?

Re: how to invoke device application without mime type

It depends on what you are invoking.  Some core applications require a MIME type and others don't.  Refer to the Invoking core applications document for details.  If a MIME type is not listed or shows that it supports any mime type, you don't need to include it.  For invoke targets that only accept a specific mime type(s), you should specify it.
