BB10 Dev Alpha Update Not accepting unlock Password

So I got it updated using https://developer.blackberry.com/blackberry10devalphas/update

But I cannot get the password to get it unlocked. When I use the password I always used before update it doesn't do anything. It doesn't even increment wrong password counter

When I enter a wrong password it increases the wrong password counter.

Anyone know how I can unlock the device?

Re: BB10 Dev Alpha Update Not accepting unlock Password

Actually my password used to be 3 letters long...maybe it just does not accept it?

What password is it asking me for....it did not ask me set up a password during setup

K go it!

Incorrectly enter passwords 10 times. device will reset. Turn on device. Enter setup info and it won't ask for password for lockscreen

Re: BB10 Dev Alpha Update Not accepting unlock Password

but on the latest OS please BEWARE !!

Do not WIPE your DEVICE !!
The device will have only browser menus
then your device will not connect on your PC/LAPTOP again.

Re: BB10 Dev Alpha Update Not accepting unlock Password

I just came across this thread after having wiped my device on the latest OS (due to the same short password issue mentioned above). Unfortunately as mentioned above, the device no longer responds to USB.

Is there any way to recover from this? Some sort of a factory reset or something? I've tried doing a hard reset, but that doesn't make any difference. I've tried on both a PC and a Mac, with a couple of USB cables just in case, but nothing works.

NOTES :
I highly recommended do it on PC/LAPTOP with WINDOWS 7
