Can't deploy to device on new SDKs

[ Edited ]

I can't deploy debug builds to the Dev Alpha devices on the two newest versions of the SDK.

Here's the error I get on 10.1.0.1483 trying to deploy to a Dev Alpha C or Dev Alpha B (from the console):

Timed out.
MsgNak received - resending
Timed out.
MsgNak received - resending

 Here's the error I get in eclipse/momentics:

Error in final launch sequence
Failed to execute MI command:
attach 13930683
Error message from debugger back end:
Don't know how to attach. Try "help target".
Don't know how to attach. Try "help target".

Anyone know how I can resolve this issue?

Both the Dev Alphas are on 10.1.0.1485.

Here's the GDB output:

Re: Can't deploy to device on new SDKs

What error do you see in the dialog window that should pop up after a deployment fails.

Are you connected over USB or WiFi?

Re: Can't deploy to device on new SDKs

Thanks for the reply. I managed to resolve the issue. I just repeateadly alternated reinstalling momentics and restarting my computer until it worked. Not sure what the issue was. I noted that I got much better results with reinstalling momentics where I deleted all the existing files I could find, related to it. The uninstallation process seems to leave a ton behind.

Re: Can't deploy to device on new SDKs

I've encountered this problem on the 10.2 SDK. I tried reinstalling once, to no avail. For now I'll debug with the "run" configuration instead of the "debug" configuration. -_-

Don't have time to do repeated installs at the moment.

I have a similar issue, I'm using USB connection to the device. I guess it is an IDE debugger issue because as soon as it occurs I have the same problem when I try debugging the app with a different device. In fact the application is deployed to the device and the error occurs while starting the application on the device.

After the log below a dialog pops up:

'Launching TestApp run blackberry-9454.local' has encountered a problem.

Error in final launch sequence

Details:

Re: Can't deploy to device on new SDKs

I had the same problem.  I deleted my device target (both from the QNX system information perspective and from the project explorer).  I then re-added the target (using the auto discover) and it started working again.

I think this might be caused by switching between the 10.1 and 10.2 beta versions of the IDE.
