How to simulate blackberry flash dump

Hello all,

I extracted bit-by-bit flash memory dump of my bold 9700.
I got a raw hex file which I am trying to decipher. I know its not easy to interpret a raw hex file.

Is the flash dump encrypted?

One more thing I would appreciate is:  if anyone could please help me load this dump into Blackberry simulator.

Re: How to simulate blackberry flash dump

Hi

What did you want to achieve by reading this dump? The CFP program just produces an encoded dump of the file system these are supposed to be sent to RIM in the event of bugs etc. There not for non developer use the dumps are encrpted binary that you wont be able to read with a hex editor. These dumps wont run on the emulator though and can only be reloadad back to the current handset.

Regards

Rex
