Re: Playbook 2.1.0 Beta Released - Post Findings Here

Been having the same issue all day.

Was running 2.1 before, but uninstalled to address issues with video playing (Lost ability to play videos, which was a problem for what I'm working on). I cannot go back from 2.0 to 2.1 now. Whitelisted by device at 10am today and still waiting for the upgrade 8 hours later.

I am also not receiving the update after white listing. I have updated two other playbook previously. Wondering if they are getting ready this. Release 2.1 and the beta period has ended. Some clarification would be nice.

3rd attempt in 2 days - still no luck.

Is 2.1 being ditched to focus on 10?

Would be nice to know so we don't waste time trying to test our apps on 2.1...

With 2.0.1.668 out for the 4G test models perhaps that is the issue.

Who knows-----so many software releases, and how does 2.0.1.668 fit in with the beta 2.1.0.560?  My guess is that they may be gearing up to release a stable / less buggy version of 2.1.0.560 for the playbook or reverting back to a 2.0 build that is not so buggy..

Re: Playbook 2.1.0 Beta Released - Post Findings Here

Unfortunately the 4g's upgrade was 2.0.1.668, not 2.1.0.668. Wouldn't mind seeing that update though considering I am now stuck on 2.0.1.358 now.

OK - Not sure if I'm insane or just persistent. Tried again, still the same thing.

Registered fresh, and nothing.

Is RIM monitoring the forum? Can we get some help understanding why we cannot get 2.1 anymore?

Re: Playbook 2.1.0 Beta Released - Post Findings Here

If it means that its all-hands-on-deck for BB10, that 2.1 will be ditched for BB10, or that 2.1 will be ditched for 2.0.668 and its positive reviews, I'm all for it. I cannot speak for the NDK developers, but I found 2.1.0 a worse environment for my WebWorks apps.

I for one am concentrating on BB10. Just wish the simulator (and dev alpha devices) were a more accurate representation.
