MDS v4.1.4, Simulator v220.127.116.11
I've setup the rimpublic.property file with all applicable HTTP settings I was able to find in documentation and forum posts. Other than the defaults on the file, I added the following:
application.handler.http.proxyEnabled = true
application.handler.http.proxyHost = localhost
application.handler.http.proxyPort = 8888
I've also attempted to use just 127.0.0.1 in place of localhost (just in case). At the moment I'm just trying to get some indication of activity from a proxy perspective. So I've entered Fiddler's default port of 8888. But Fiddler never catches any traffic from the emulator (whether proxy info is set in the rimpublic.property file or not). The emulator always successfully navigates to whatever URL I place in the browser. Please help!

Not too complicated, but I should also mention I take the following steps:

Do you see activity in the MDS Simulator window when browsing? If not, the connection is being made directly from the BlackBerry smartphone simulator, which wouldn't be aware of the proxy settings.
Note that there is an issue with the MDS-CS Simulator that prevents HTTPS traffic from going through the proxy server.

No, not at this time.

I've not been able to get a proxy working in any context.
"...the connection is being made directly from the BlackBerry smartphone simulator, which wouldn't be aware of the proxy settings."
Are you saying there's no way to get a simulator to use the host's proxy settings? Ultimately, that's what I need: Any and all BlackBerry simulators installed on a host machine need to go through a proxy server.
How can I set things up to make that happen?

BlackBerry Smartphone Simulators do not have proxy support.
The MDS-CS Simulator does support making connections through a proxy server (although not HTTPS connections due to the issue mentioned above).
This means that simulated connections through the MDS-CS Simulator (deviceside=false) can go through a proxy server. Connections made directly from the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator, which include WiFi (interface=wifi) and direct/cellular TCP (deviceside=true) do not.

One more question Mark: Can you provide me with the direct link to download the MDS-CS Simulator you're speaking of? The only one I've been able to find is old. TIA!

4.1.4 (that I think you have) is the latest stand alone MDS-CS Simulator. Slightly newer versions are included with our other development tools (BlackBerry Java Plug-in for Eclipse, BlackBerry Web Plug-in for Eclipse, BlackBerry Web Plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio).
