Vendor proof of identification email

Does anyone know what kind of information would be acceptible as proof of identification (this is required to become a vendor).

I am not excited about sending government issued documentation as proof of identification.  I have emailed RIM but they haven't responded back in any informative way.

Re: Vendor proof of identification email

I think you have to provide at least something that can show the reviewer that you are who you say you are. So some kind of ID that can not be easily falsified will be sufficient I guess.

A like is always appreciated,

Re: Vendor proof of identification email

I have no problem supplying identifying information like a home address and phone number.  I understand why they would want this.

I do think it is a little much to provide permanent copy of a birth certificate, passport, drivers license, or something along those lines to simply post an app.  Emailing this kind of information is probably not a good idea either.  These kinds of documents stay at the bottom of my sock drawer where they belong :-)

I did ask what is acceptable by the way (no response).

Re: Vendor proof of identification email

I did get approved today without sending in anything.  An address is apparently good enough.
