do we need to test on actual playbook hardware to confirm

Hi,

I just noticed that the applications to be run on simulators needs to be run in intel 86 arch to run on the simulator whereas the actual playbook tablet has arm7 core. can it happen that the applications running on the simulator will not run on the actual playbook?

Also on a different note are there playbook emulators(along with arm7 core simulation) available to test?

Kind Regards

Re: do we need to test on actual playbook hardware to confirm

When you compile your application for testing on the simulator it will compile it as an x86 application. When testing on a real PlayBook or exporting a release build it will be built for ARM7. If the application runs on the simulator then gets re-compiled for a real device and signed, then it should be expected to run properly on the real device.
