I would like to develop a mobile version for a portal and I've to install a BB emulator for tests. I installed the JDK 1.7, the last Device Simulator for 9900 (version 7.1.0) and the email and MDS Services simulator package. I started both (the MDS in first) and when I go on a website, with or without a mobile version, an error is displayed : "fledge_umphost.exe has encounted a problem". The 2 programs have the default configuration and for the JDK, I took the 32-bits otherwise the MDS doesn't detect the 64-bits.
My computer :
- core i5 2500
- gtx 560 ti
- 4 go for ram
- windows 7 pro
Apparently, nvida cards with old driver can be poblematic but I've the last driver.
Where does the problem ?
Thank you for your help

What BlackBerry handheld software version are you testing on? You can find this under Options, About on the BlackBerry Smartphone.

I have the same exact problem. On both the 9900 and the 9810 simulators, after starting MDS, any time I attempt to navigate to any website in the browser app, it crashes with the same error.
I'm running mine in a Win2003 VMWare VM.

This is a known issue in some 7.0 BlackBerry smartphone simulators. Please refer to the release notes here: http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/subcatego
