where do I find BB10 Client Simulator?

Hello there,

I have a very naive question. I am trying to follow the instruction that comes with BB10 simulator. It says:

- Start BB10 client simulator

it is nowhere to be found... I found these two guys:

controller.exe

runBB10Simulator.bat

but where is the Client Simulator? does it come with BB10Simulator download (BlackBerry10Simulator-BB10_1_X-807) ?

must be missing something trivial... Thanks in advance for your help.

You need to run it in VMWare.  Open VMWare, choose Open a Virtual Machine and navigate to the directory you installed the BlackBerry 10 Simulator to.

Re: where do I find BB10 Client Simulator?

thanks Mark

I just figured it out myself, was looking at all those *.vmx, *.vmdk files wondering which application can actually open those? and logically arrived to the same conclusion - VMWare Player :-)
thanks again,

Re: where do I find BB10 Client Simulator?

When I installed the emulator, there was a command added to my Start Menu. It was called "BlackBerry 10 Simulator". This will start VMPlayer and also immediately the correct virtual machine.

So if you are using Windows Vista or later, you can just press the Windows button on your keyboard and start typing "BlackBerry 10 Simulator" and press Enter if the correct item is selected.

A like is always appreciated,
but a nomination for BB Elite even more :-)
