2 weeks and I still can't get a widget started

I've been trying to install the Blackberry Web Developer for Eclipse but keep  running into problems.

I've followed the steps in the the following url with out success:

http://na.blackberry.com/eng/developers/browserdev/eclipse.jsp

Eclipse runs correctly and the 1.0 plugin seemed to install correctly. I tried to follow the first tutorial http://www.blackberry.com/DevMediaLibrary/view.do?name=PluginforEclipse

but my Elcipse looks nothing like the one in the video. There is no Blackberry menu item next to run, nor is there the option to create a web widget when selecting File - New Project, as there is in other video tutorials.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my problems, but after running Eclipse and the updates I used the update manager to run EMF 2.4.1 , but I was informed that the components were already installed. I then proceeded to run WTP 3.0.3, but I was given the following message:

No repository found at jar:file:C:\Users\Ghawdxi 00\Documents\Downloads\eclipse\wtp-R-3.0.3-20081113203138.zip!/

No repository found at jar:file:C:\Users\Ghawdxi 00\Documents\Downloads\eclipse\wtp-R-3.0.3-20081113203138.zip!/

I downloaded this from: http://archive.eclipse.org/webtools/downloads/drops/R3.0/R-3.0.3-20081113203138/

Could someone help me out I would like to begin playing with this, but seem to have hit the most unlikely of walls.

Thanks

Re: 2 weeks and I still can't get a widget started

Hi mbugeja,

It looks like you have downloaded the v1.0 of the Eclipse Web plug-in.  This version only provided web page development with the BlackBerry Simulators.

For BlackBerry Widget development you will want to download the v2.0 Beta that can be found here:

http://na.blackberry.com/eng/developers/devbetasoftware/eclipseplugin.jsp

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the help. I'll have to wait till I'm logged in at work as my home computer is running on a 64bit version of Windows 7.
