Ad Hoc Playbook-to-Playbook Network?

Within the confines of a Playbook webworks app, is it possible to connect to another device over wifi or bluetooth? I haven't seen an API for this and there certainly isn't anything in the native Browser/JavaScript stack.

Re: Ad Hoc Playbook-to-Playbook Network?

I have two PlayBooks. I believe you can connect them via a gateway if you're smart enough. All PlayBooks have a unique IP and MAC address. You can also configure them to connect via proxy. Ideally, PlayBooks would connect to each other through a third party app (available through AppWorld) that would do the heavy lifting of configuring the PlayBook.

Keep in mind, there are some things you must require a user to accept, particularly application permissions.
Connecting multiple PlayBooks would require you to get IP addresses and other sensitive data and merge and do some advanced geolocation mapping of the devices based on several parameters.

You will need a server for routing requests. This could be local or remote.
