Assigning custom application shortcuts

Is it possible to assign application shortcuts using webworks?

 

Example,

U - opens update.html

C - opens compose.html

F - opens files.html

 

etc...

Yes you can.  

 

You would need to listen for keyboard events, and then invoke some sort of action (such as calling a method to open your secondary pages).

 

Here is an example of capturing keypress events in a page.  Demonstrates how to capture events from an inbox box, or if the user presses keys anywhere on the page:
