BB10 DevAlpha

[ Edited ]

I have a Dev Alpha phone as of August 23rd.

I have updated to Blackberry WebWorks SDK 1.0.1.8

I updated Ripple to 9.8

I updated webworks.js to 1.0.1.8

Still cannot package and sign- get the same errors regarding password.

when choosing package and launch -Build Successful

nothing deployed to DevAlpha

Debugtoken installed to device

stymied in Port Colborne- no gold

Re: BB10 DevAlpha

You right there.  There is an issue with Ripple doing a Package and Launch.

However I did manage to get it to Package and Sign.  Then using the BB Graphical Aid tool you can Install your app to the dev alpha device and test.

Regarding the error of password - I re-applied for keys.  It seems the first dev alpha was able to use apps that were built with a Tablet key (Playbook), but since the last update you need to have a BB10 specific key.

If it helped you, click like. Smiley Happy

Re: BB10 DevAlpha

I also use the SDK with some modifications made to the "ant" script taken from Phonegap/Cordova to build+deploy my apps to PB and BB10 device since I also run into problems using Ripple.

And, btw., I think it is much easier to package+build+sign+deploy apps using only one command line. I also changed some of the scripts to use a debugging deployment using dev token and a signing deployment what is even easier as trying with Ripple again and again and running into those issues.

Re: BB10 DevAlpha

LBP,

agree with phonegap/cordova.

What I can gather from github post -is they are working on the bugs and hopefully are cleared in next SDK/Ripple release

we all want something that JUST works . thats all.

has anyone a link to resources for what works in a "BB10 config.xml"?  and what doesn't? in the command prompt log from localhost picard boldy goes there are several warnings pointing to features- are they obsolete?

Re: BB10 DevAlpha

There are a lot discussions out there what is working and what isn't at this time, but I do not have all the links.

You might want to join and post to the following discussions and hopefully someone else can also point out some other questions regarding the Update policies at RIM:

There are a lot more questions asked regarding to BB10 development, issues and problems but not yet really answered or given any suitable way to discover those things from RIM-side.

[ Edited ]

Loaded app via  ant/phonegap to dev alpha. using 'ant playbook load-device' using the webworks SDK for tablets 2.2.0.5Smiley Very Happy some features are non responsive as expected.

also threw the bb10 html app code on server  and my bold 9900 can display it  although page transitions are slow.
