Was wondering how it could be done in BB10 to create custom dialogs like shown in the screenshot created by the Clock App on PlayBook:
Something like this possible right now or in the future using WebWorks?

I'm not 100% sure of the clock app on PlayBook was built using the NDK or AIR SDK. Either way, I would expect a custom extension would be how you would like your app's content to these 'external' UI controls. You would need some way to layer these controls on top of your app. For example the "location picker" Community-API extension for Smartphones adds a new screen on top of your application's browserField control to allow you to select a coordinate from a Map control. The idea behind that is similar to what I think needs to be done to provide this solution.
I think it could be done, however I don't have any information to share right now on how.

It is only because we are captured in the app view, but if the user would sign some settings to stay informed about things from the app it would be good to have something to make it happen. On the one hand we could use the notifications, but they are in the making and they are minimized until the user checks them and on the other we can only use dialogs (standard/customAskDialog for example) but they are within the app view and couldn't be handled outside.
I know, it sounds little bit like an all-rounder for such things, but BB10 is in the pipeline and at the end things could be even better than other mobile OSs do at this time, isn't it!
