Background Images Not Working

I am have issues with background images. I have a sprite called sprite.png and I am using the following code in css.. .logo { background: #ff7800 url('images/sprite.png') 0px -13px no-repeat; height: 32px; width: 28px; position: relative; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; } .logo is a div. It is not working....It shows the background color but not the image. In the browser (firefox) it is working fine. Current phone testing with: Storm 2, software version v5.0.713

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?  It is not good just because we want to use a sprite to save on download overhead.   I did figure out that this code is what is causing the problem, but the bad thing is you need that to do a sprite!
