BlackBerry Bold not honoring column widths

The BlackBerry bold is not honoring column widths on our website.

Is this a known issue?  Other Blackberrys work fine.

One example of this is that we have a two column table, one column has a width of 32% and the second column 68%.  The table displays 50-50.

Will do.  It would be a little difficult to give you the URL because you would need to create an account and then load some data so I'll try to mockup a page like it where I can just give you some html.

Re: BlackBerry Bold not honoring column widths

Here is some html that demonstrates the issue (Obviously, the image links won't work but I don't think it will matter).

<html>

<head>

<title>Travel Itineraries</title>

                  <meta name="viewport" content="user-scalable=no,width=device-width,scale=1.0" />

               </head>

<body>

<form id="ItinerariesFrm" name="ItinerariesFrm" method="post" action="MobileItineraries.aspx?__ufps=546443">

<input type="hidden" name="__VIEWSTATE" value="/wEXAQUDX19QD2QPBvdH8rD5R8uIAgEhQkJQRi+qrAQA83yGPraaorordg==">

<input type="hidden" name="__EVENTTARGET" value="">

<input type="hidden" name="__EVENTARGUMENT" value="">

<script language=javascript><!--

function __doPostBack(target, argument){

var theform = document.ItinerariesFrm

theform.__EVENTTARGET.value = target

theform.__EVENTARGUMENT.value = argument

theform.submit()

}

// -->

</script>

<table width="100%" style="table-layout: fixed" bgcolor="#ffffe4" cellspacing="0">

<tr>

   <td align="left">

      <table style="table-layout: fixed" width="100%" cellspacing="0">

<tr>

                       <td width="32%" valign="top" style="border-top: solid 1px #c1c1c1">

<font face="Arial"><a href="/CPlanner/mobile/MobileShowItinerary.aspx?SavedItinID=9ef1b7d7-8cce-432f-ad4b-ac6314224969">01/20/09</a></font>

                       </td>

                       <td width="68%" style="border-top: solid 1px #c1c1c1">

<font face="Arial">Itinerary for 1/20/2009 to 1/23/2009</font>

                       </td>

                   </tr>

                   <tr>

                       <td colspan="2" width="100%" style="font-size: x-small">

                       </td>

                   </tr>

                                   </table>

                               </td>

                           </tr>

                       </table>

             </form></body></html>

Re: BlackBerry Bold not honoring column widths

Interesting. Removing the "table-layout: fixed" from the inner table seems to solve the problem. Looks like a bug in the browser.

Re: BlackBerry Bold not honoring column widths

Interesting.  I just found out that we specify that to get column widths to work on other Blackberry devices.

Looks like I'll have to condition this.  Thanks for your help.
