I have a blackberry application developed using jQuery Mobile and wrapped in Phone Gap. There I am trying to open the 'Directions' map as separate while clicking on a button. For that, I have been trying the BB map like mentioned in the page http://developer.blackberry.com/html5/api/blackber
I call the following script function while clicking.
var args = new blackberry.invoke.MapsArguments(43.26, -80.30);
Also I have included the following feature in config.xml
<feature id="blackberry.invoke.MapsArguments" />
While clicking, it opens up but , the map is not getting displayed(no grids and lines).
I tried google map for the same but it was redirecting to google home page and also creating memory issues while it works fine in BB10.
Also, while loading the google map in to a div, it creates memory issues in BB6.
Everything works fine for BB10 (Z10) device.
Can any one please help me?
Thanks in advance.

So the Maps application is opening but it's not loading any mapping data?
Does it load any mapping data normally, if it was loaded from the homescreen?
What device and OS version is this on?

Yes, the Maps application is opening but it's not loading any mapping data.
I am unable to see the Maps application icon in the device even it is there installed and able to change its settings (Options-> Device -> Maps).
The device is Blackberry Torch 9800.

If the Maps application doesn't appear on the device, then you may need to follow the steps on this page to install it properly: http://ca.blackberry.com/apps/blackberry-apps/blac
I think thay may be the issue that you're running into.

Thanks for your reply.
I installed the map app from the given link. There was no change.
Anyway, due to memory issues in Blackberry6 device, the client asked to remove map option in BB6 device and keep only in Z10 device.
